Hotel Rwanda
It was very shocking to me when I watched the video and the news. How can this terrible traumatic event can occur and be ignored? 800,000 people, which is 10% of Rwanda's population, were murdered in 100 days. It was a tribalwar between the Hutus and the Tutsis like the Korean War, where North and South Korea fought against each other, but the war in Rwanda had an unbelievable death rate. What word can replace the word "genocide?" The word "genocide" would perfectly match and explain this massacre. The president of Rwanda died in a mystery, where a missile shoots down his plane. Reasonalby, it would have been the Hutu's plans because after the president was dead they immediately took control of the government. It's like a revenge from the Hutus to the Tutis because in the past, the Tutis killed the Hutu's president. However, this is worthless; killing the same tribes and resulting in nothing. Revenge leads to nothing but chaos. On the other hand, the reason why that I don't get this fight could be because it have never happened to me and as it was said from the reporter in the movie, "people watch this news, and go back to eat dinner, thinking it's one of those things that happens in that part of the world." I agree. I have never experienced this before and definetly think that it should occur once in a while in the world but never on me. I take it natural. I am ignorant. For this reason, I can't insult other countries that were ignorant, but they were too ignorant to let millions of innocent people to die. It was shocking to see that the French Army came to save their own people and leave, leaving all the Rwanda people behind. Again, the racisim problem. No matter how small and obsure the land was, and no matter how much blacks there were, other countries were responsible to cease the fight, but they chose to be ignorant and acted like they were irresponsible for the fight. Blacks are still human being who lives in earth like the others, so they have no reason to be discriminated. This inspired me to think about what is going around the world right now. Anytime, anywhere unexpected events may happen; therefore, we should come together and help each other.

Yes, I agree that other countries were responsible, at least partly, for the genocide and they should have done everything to cease the fight. I also agreed that racism was an issue at the time. I feel as if the world was ignorant because they were "Africans"
